Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By purchasing any product or service from CBUS Digital (“we,” “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service. CBUS Digital is operated by Kyle Fedewa from Columbus, Ohio. If you do not agree to these terms, do not complete your purchase.

2. Services

We currently offer three products. The specific scope of what you receive depends on which product you purchase:

• Sitepilot ($49) — A one-time digital kit delivered by email after purchase. Includes a master build prompt, a project starter file, and reference links you use to build your own website. Self-serve; no website is built for you.
• Autopilot ($497 setup + $49/month) — A custom website we build for you, plus ongoing hosting and unlimited reasonable content/design edits. The $497 covers initial build; the $49/month covers hosting and edits and continues until you cancel.
• Enterprise — Custom scope and pricing agreed in writing on a per-project basis.

3. Payment

All payments are processed by Stripe. By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide.

• Sitepilot is a single charge at checkout.
• Autopilot is billed in two equal halves: 50% deposit at the start of the build, and 50% balance charged automatically to the same card on file when your website is delivered live. By paying the deposit, you authorize CBUS Digital to charge the remaining balance to your card on file once your site is live, without further action required from you. The total price is agreed in writing before the deposit is invoiced. Hosting and unlimited edits at $49/month begin only if and when you opt in after launch, and are billed monthly to the same card until canceled.
• Enterprise payment terms are defined in the project agreement.

Prices are listed in US dollars and do not include applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout depending on your location.

4. Refunds & Cancellation

Sitepilot: The kit is a digital download delivered immediately after purchase. All sales are final once the kit has been emailed to you.

Autopilot: The 50% deposit is non-refundable once we begin work on your site. The 50% balance is charged automatically when your site is delivered live. You may cancel the optional $49/month hosting and edits subscription at any time by emailing kyle@cbusdigital.com — your service continues through the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again. We do not pro-rate partial months.

Enterprise: Cancellation and refund terms are defined in the project agreement.

5. What You Own / What We Own

You own the content you provide (text, photos, brand assets) and you own the final website we deliver, including its rights to be used at your business’s domain.

We retain ownership of any underlying templates, design systems, components, prompts, scripts, and tooling we built before or apart from your project. Nothing in this section prevents us from reusing our own components, code patterns, or design approaches on other client work.

6. Hosting & Uptime

Autopilot sites are hosted on Vercel and rely on third-party infrastructure (Vercel, your DNS provider, and any integrated services). We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep your site online, but we do not provide a guaranteed uptime SLA at this tier. Downtime caused by third-party outages, your domain registrar, or your own DNS changes is outside our control.

7. Scope of “Unlimited Edits”

“Unlimited edits” on Autopilot means reasonable ongoing content, layout, and design changes to your existing website. Typical examples: copy updates, photo swaps, adding/removing services, seasonal banners, refreshing testimonials, contact info changes, small new sections.

Unlimited edits do not include: new full sites or sub-sites, custom integrations with third-party software, e-commerce build-outs, custom backend or database work, paid ad campaign management, or copywriting beyond light editing. Those scopes can be quoted separately under Enterprise.

8. Turnaround

Initial Autopilot builds typically deliver within 5–7 business days of receiving your information and assets. Ongoing edit requests are typically completed within 1–2 business days. These are targets, not guarantees. Complex or large edits may take longer; we’ll communicate timelines in those cases.

9. Your Responsibilities

You agree that:

• You own or have the right to use any content (text, images, logos, video) you give us.
• Your business is legitimate and your services comply with applicable laws and licensing.
• You will not use your CBUS Digital site to host illegal content, scams, malware, or content that violates third-party rights.

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service for violations of this section.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CBUS Digital’s total liability for any claim arising from or related to our services is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages, including lost revenue from website downtime.

11. Termination

You may cancel an Autopilot subscription at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate service for non-payment, abuse of our team, or breach of these terms. On termination of Autopilot, we will export your site’s content and provide it to you in a reasonable format; ongoing hosting and edits stop at the end of your last paid billing period.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio.

13. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
